Thank you for stopping by 🙂
Hope you are doing great 👍
In today’s post I am reviewing an affordable peptide moisturiser for repairing the skin barrier.
Vya Naturals Peptide Moisturiser contains Matrixyl 3000, portulaca herb extract and vitamin E which makes it suitable for dull, dehydrated and mature skin.
Peptides are made up of 2 or more amino acids which are the building blocks of proteins.
Collagen in our body is made up of polypeptides. As we age, it starts depleting leading to signs of aging. Adding a topical peptide serum or moisturiser helps in signaling the cells to produce more collagen leading to a firmer skin.
Coming to the product details-

Quantity- 30 ml
The product comes in a bottle with a pump.
Texture and consistency-
It has a creamy texture which spreads nicely on the skin. The moisturiser gets absorbed within a few minutes and does not leave any greasy or tacky feel.
My experience with the product-
I do love a good moisturiser in my skincare routine and everyone must include one according to their skin type.
As I have included retinoids in my skincare there are times when my skin is extremely dry and peeling. When the barrier is compromised it is more prone to infection and inflammation. Hence strengthening the lipid barrier is very important for a healthy skin.
This product contains matrixyl 3000 which is a combination of palmitoyl tetrapeptide 7 (a four amino acid peptide with a sequence of glycine-glutamine-proline- arginine) and palmitoyl tripeptide 1 ( a three amino acid peptide with sequence glycine-histidine-lysine ).
They work synergistically together and help in production of collagen to give a firmer and younger looking skin. This provides oil solubility leading to good penetration into the skin.
The product also contains emollients and occlusives to prevent transepidermal water loss from the skin. The portulaca herb used in this moisturiser has antioxidant properties and omega 3 fatty acid to calm down irritated skin and prevent free radical damage.
I apply this moisturiser after my serums during the day and follow up with my sunscreen. It does not make my combination skin oily or greasy and provides an ideal base for makeup.
Note– Peptide Moisturisers works well with vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and ceramides. Don’t mix them with alpha hydroxy acids as they reduce its efficacy.
