In today’s post I am sharing the product details of the newly launched Re’equil Atorep Barrier Cream. This cream is mainly targeted towards dry itchy skin or people with atopic dermatitis (eczema).

Atopic dermatitis is a chronic skin condition which is characterised by red, dry, inflamed and itchy skin. There are many environmental factors which can trigger this condition such as soaps, detergents, dust, pollution, stress, allergens etc.

Texture and consistency-

The cream has a thick texture which glides on smoothly and gets absorbed into the skin within a few minutes.

My experience with the product-

As I have been using chemical exfoliation and retinoids in my skincare since past few years, repairing my skin while it is peeling and dry is very important for me. A healthy skin barrier helps in reducing transepidermal water loss and locks in the moisture. Dry itchy skin can lead to excessive scratching which might lead to certain infections. Hence if you are someone who needs help with relieving the symptoms using a good barrier cream is very important.

There are various ingredients which help in strengthening the skin barrier such as ceramides, peptides, cholesterol, phytosterol esters, urea etc.

Re’equil atorep barrier cream contains a combination of good emollients, humectants, antimicrobial and healing agents. It also contains madecassoside which is an active ingredient of centella asiatica extract which has been known for its healing properties. The cream contains ceramides 1,3 and 6 which helps in repairing the lipid barrier of the skin. Alpha glucan oligosaccharide helps in improving the microflora of the skin.

The cream can be applied to any area of the face and body wherever you are experiencing itching, irritation or redness. It absorbs fast and reduces the symptoms giving a feeling of comfort to the skin.
