Today I am reviewing Akmasq from Ethicare remedies. The mask is mainly formulated for oily and acne prone skin types. This is a wash off mask which contains natural ingredients for reducing inflammation and has antimicrobial properties.

What does the product say?

It is an innovative approach in pimple care and complexion care technology that helps in clearing out pimples and reduces excessive oil production on the skin. Antibacterial action by tea tree oil, turmeric and chandan powder (sandalwood powder) helps in reducing blemishes and gives an even toned skin. Vitamin E and Pro-vitamin B5 helps in soothing the skin and cucumber gives a cooling and soothing effect to the skin.

Ingredients-

Aqua, light kaolin, talc powder, bentonite, light liquid paraffin, aloe vera extract, chandan powder, glycerine, propylene glycol, turmeric powder, cucumber juice, sodium lauryl sulphate, titanium dioxide, cetostearyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, lanolin, methylparaben, D-panthenol, tocopheryl acetate, propylparaben, tea tree oil triclosan, glycerol monostearate, perfume polysorbate 60 & 80, xanthan gum

Texture and consistency-

The mask is very smooth in consistency with some little granules in it. It spreads very easily on the skin.

Directions of usage-

Apply a liberal amount of Akmasq on perfectly cleansed face leaving the eye and mouth area. Leave it for 10-15 minutes. Wash it off with cold or lukewarm water.

Note- discontinue usage if irritation occurs.

My experience with the product-

Clay masks are a very good option to reduce and remove excess oil and sebum from the skin. The mask is affordable and easily available.

It helps in deep cleansing of the skin and also clear out the pores. The mask contains kaolin and talc powder which removes and controls excess oil on the skin. The mask also contains natural ingredients like turmeric, tea tree, aloe vera which helps in reducing inflammation and have antimicrobial properties. I apply this face mask on a perfectly cleansed face avoiding the eye and mouth area and leave it for 10-15 minutes then wash it off with lukewarm water. It comes off easily and leaves the skin squeaky clean.

My skin feels fresh and matte after using this mask. It does feel a bit dry but I top it up with a good moisturiser that helps in retaining moisture back in my skin. The mask also helps in removing dead skin cell layers and reduces the size of active acne.

I highly recommend this mask for oily and acne prone skin types. Just use this mask two to three times a week for best results so that your skin does not feel very dry.
