In today’s post I am reviewing ACMED face wash for oily and acne prone skin. This face wash is marketed by Ethicare remedies and manufactured by zymo cosmetics.

This is an exfoliating face wash which is gentle enough for oily and acne prone skin types.

Packaging-

It comes in a transparent tube packaging with a flip top.

Price- 199 INR

Quantity- 70 gm

Ingredients-

Aqua, sodium lauryl ether sulphate, cocamidopropyl betaine, aloe vera extract, carbomer, salicylic acid, tea tree oil globules, tocopheryl acetate globules, D Panthenol, triclosan, sodium hydroxide, perfume.

Texture and consistency-

The face wash has a gel consistency with purple and white beads for mild exfoliation of the skin.

My experience with the product-

I do like to include an exfoliating face wash in my skincare routine as I have a combination acne-prone skin which tends to get very oily at times. Acmed face wash is a gentle exfoliating face wash which is 100% soap free. It contains ingredients like-

Aloe vera- a good humectant which helps in making the skin soft and supple.

Salicylic acid- a beta hydroxy acid (BHA) which helps in dissolving dead skin layers, unclogs pores and reduces sebum on the skin.

Tea tree oil– it has antimicrobial properties. Helps in reducing inflammation.

Vitamin E- for moisturisation.

D Panthenol- for soothing irritated skin and reduces inflammation.

The face wash has these pretty purple and white beads which gently exfoliates the skin without being harsh on it. You just need a pea size amount for your face. Mix it with water and work up a foam. Then apply it on the face in gentle circular motions. The facewash has a mild to moderate lather and washes off easily with water. My skin feels somewhat dry after using this face wash so i always top it off with a good moisturiser. I use this face wash once a day for removing dirt, excess oil and dead skin cells present on my skin.

• Easily available.
• Travel friendly.
• Reduces the size of active acne.
• Makes the skin squeaky clean.
• Helps in removing excess oil.

Cons-

• Can be overdrying if used in excess.
• Contains perfume (last ingredient, so it doesn’t bother me, also it’s a wash off product)

Will I recommend it?

Yes!! For oily and acne prone skin.
