COSRX Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask Review

Hey 👋

Thank you for stopping by 🙂

Hope you are doing great 👍

In today’s post I am reviewing COSRX Ultimate Nourishing Rice Overnight Spa Mask.

Fermented rice water has been used for skin and hair since ages. Rice is an effective and easily available ingredient which helps in reducing dark spots and brightening up the skin tone, making it more plump and hydrated. A lot of people use fermented rice water, homemade rice masks, scrubs and creams for enhancing the skin elasticity and moisturisation. Rice also helps in promoting collagen synthesis and prevents wrinkle formation.

Cosrx rice overnight spa mask is a 3 in one product. It can be used either as a wash off hydrating mask, a sleeping pack or a moisturiser for dry skin people. Along with rice extracts it also contains niacinamide which is a skin friendly active which helps in reducing post inflammatory hyperpigmentation, dullness and dark spots on the face.

The mask also contains various plant oils such as sunflower seed oil, palm oil for providing in depth moisturisation to the skin.

Packaging-

The mask comes in a pretty opaque tube with a black flip top. This makes it easier to control the amount of product.

Texture and consistency-

The mask is creamy and silky in consistency. It glides easily on the skin and absorbs nicely, leaving a slimy layer on the skin.

Directions of usage-

As a sleeping mask- apply a generous amount of the mask on face and neck as the last step of the skin care routine. Let it absorb and wash off in the morning.

As a wash off hydrating mask- apply a thin layer of the mask on cleansed face and neck, leave it for 20 minutes then wash off with lukewarm water.

My experience with the product-

I use this mask in my skincare according to my skin needs. The mask is fragrance free, really smooth which spreads and absorbs easily onto the skin. It does contain palm oil and sunflower seed oil but it didn’t clog my pores or cause breakouts on the skin. It does leave a slimy layer on my skin hence I don’t wear it during the day time as my regular moisturiser. I do apply this one as a hydrating mask after my clay mask as it replenishes my skin after using the clay mask. The effects are immediate and with regular usage I found significant improvement on my skin. It has also helped in reducing uneven skin tone. The mask is very hydrating and can be used by all skin types.
