In today’s post I am sharing my current favorite sunscreen for oily and acne prone skin type. Some by Mi Truecica Mineral 100 Calming Suncream is a physical sunscreen which creates a physical barrier on the skin surface and reflects harmful UV rays.

Physical sunscreen comprises zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as their main ingredient.

What does the product say ?

This is a non-nano sunscreen that provides protection against UVA and UVB rays while soothing ingredients like madecassoside, asiaticoside, asiatic acid, madecassic acid soothes and strengthens the irritated and sensitive skin.

Texture and consistency

The cream has a soft creamy texture that glides on smoothly on the skin without leaving any greasy feel or white cast on the skin.

My experience with the product

Selecting a sunscreen for combination acne prone skin is literally very difficult. Physical sunscreens can clog pores and lead to acne. They might also feel greasy on the skin. People who are prone to hyperpigmentation must avoid a chemical sunscreen as it absorbs UV rays and can lead to formation of dark spots on the face. When I laid my hands on this particular product the first reason was that I really love a matte effect on my skin during the day. Anything heavy or greasy makes it very difficult for me to go out as it attracts a lot of dust and dirt. The ingredients used in this cream are soothing and calming to the skin. Tea tree oil, madecassic acid calms down the skin and reduces inflammation. The cream does not leave any white cast on my face making it ideal for using it under makeup as well. It also controls oil for hours and makes the skin look fresh for long.
