The Ordinary 5% Caffeine Solution Review

Hey 👋

Thank you for stopping by ❤️

Hope you are doing great 👍.

As much as I love coffee in the morning for pumping me up for the day’s work, I love coffee for my skin as well. It quickly de-puffs my face in the morning making it look less like a ball. I bought The Ordinary Caffeine Solution few months back as I wanted to start using something for my under eye area as well. I don’t have dark circles *touch wood* 😬 but I do get puffy eyes in the morning. So, I wanted to introduce some caffeine related product for my under eye area.

The Ordinary products come with such potent ingredients that its caffeine solution quickly caught my eye.

In India I was able to order this product only through Amazon.

Key ingredients

Caffeine– helps in reducing puffiness; fights free radical damage, reduces dark circles.

EGCG– Epigallocatechin Gallate. Found in green tea, soothing and have antioxidant properties. Also helps in reducing puffiness.

Dark circles and puffiness around the eyes are very common concerns among a lot of people. With lack of sleep, unhealthy eating habits, harmful ultraviolet rays and indulging in a lot of screen time makes the problem worse.

My Experience with the Product

Talking about the packaging this product comes in a dark glass bottle with a dropper. It is sleek and easy to store. The product contains 5% caffeine and Epigallocathechin Gallate (EGCG). As, EGCG is sensitive to light, hence the dark glass bottle keeps it stable. I only need one drop of this product for both the eyes. This product is oil free, silicone free, vegan and cruelty free. It does not contain fragrance which is a plus point for me as it helps preventing any irritation or inflammation around the eyes. I use it both AM and PM and this bottle lasted 5 months to be accurate. A very convenient product to reduce puffiness when you are in a rush or while travelling, when you can’t do the home remedies that I tend to do from time to time. Initially the product gives a sticky feel but it gets absorbed nicely after few minutes. . I am not the right person to comment whether this works on dark circles or not as I don’t have them but I can definitely say that it helps in reducing puffiness around the eyes.

Final verdict

The ordinary 5% caffeine solution is a decent product to choose if your major concern is reducing puffiness around eyes due to altered sleep cycles or fluid retention. It provides a brighter and firmer under-eye area. It makes you look more awake and less sluggish.

Will I recommend it?

Yes! This is an affordable eye serum and does work in reducing the puffiness around my eyes.
